May 18th, 11am-2pm PT

Vico Ortiz is a proud Latine actor/activist born and raised in Puerto Rico. Their voice acting journey started with Audio Books. Some of their titles are "The Wicked Bargain", "Lakelore", "Velorio" (both in English and Spanish) as well as "Shy Willow" and "Bianca Torre is Afraid of Everything". Those last two titles earned them the Earphone Awards. In the world of animation they got their foot in the door by voicing Doyle in Nickelodeon's "The Casagrandes". From then on, you might have heard them on Max's "Harley Quinn" as Tefe Holland and "Fionna and Cake" as Hunter. They voiced Velvet and Golden Boy in "The Mindful Adventures of Unicorn Island", Lowkey Coqui in "Mickey Mouse Funhouse" and most recently, Captain Serena in "Craig Before the Creek" which earned them an Annie Award Nomination for best voice acting.

In this Voice Over workshop I really wanna lean into the power of our voices. As Queer people we are in a beautiful constant exploration of the self and how we express these discoveries. I want to channel curiosity in this workshop through play and goofy times as we unearth different types of voices that express the many different characters and personalities of our inner/outer world.

-The week before class starts you will receive an email with an outline and zoom link.
